Effici (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Effici mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using Effici, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email Address: Required for account creation and authentication
- Password: Stored securely using industry-standard encryption (managed by Supabase Auth)
2. Productivity Data
When you use the App, we collect and store:
- Pomodoro Sessions: Start time, end time, duration, completion status
- Projects: Names and descriptions of your work projects
- Tags: Custom tags you create to categorize sessions
- Distractions: Notes about interruptions during focus sessions (if you choose to log them)
- Session Descriptions: Free-text descriptions of what you worked on
- Daily Statistics: Aggregated data about your productivity (total focus time, session count, etc.)
We may automatically collect:
- Device Type: Android device model and manufacturer
- Operating System: Android OS version
- App Version: Version of Effici you’re using
- Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (for ad serving)
4. Usage Data
We may collect information about how you use the App:
- App Activity: Features used, screens viewed, navigation patterns
- Session Duration: Time spent in the app
- Crashes and Errors: Diagnostic information when the app crashes (if crash reporting is enabled)
5. Advertising Data
If you use the free, ad-supported version of Effici, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect:
- Advertising ID: Used for personalized advertising
- Ad Interactions: Which ads you view and click
- Device Information: For ad targeting and fraud prevention
We use the collected information for:
1. Providing Core Functionality
- Creating and maintaining your account
- Syncing your productivity data across your devices

- Enabling focus sessions with the Pomodoro timer

- At Rest: Your password is hashed using bcrypt; session data is stored securely in encrypted databases
Access Controls
- Limited access to production data (only authorized personnel)

Cloud Infrastructure
- Data hosted on secure, enterprise-grade servers (Supabase)
- Regular backups to prevent data loss

- Portability: Take your data to another service
Data Correction
You can:
- Edit your account information (Settings → Account)
- Modify or delete individual sessions (History → Long-press session)
- Update projects and tags (inline editing)
Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your data:
- Account Deletion: In-app Account screen → Delete account
- What Gets Deleted: All productivity data, projects, tags, session history, and your account
- Timeframe: Immediate local deletion; server-side account and data deletion is initiated immediately after request
- Cannot Be Undone: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
Advertising Control
You can:
- Opt Out of Personalized Ads: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- Remove Ads Entirely: Upgrade to Effici Premium (in-app purchase)
Additional Rights (For EU/UK Users - GDPR)
- Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data
- Right to Restriction: Request restriction of processing under certain conditions
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: Contact your local data protection authority
Data Retention
Active Accounts
- We retain your data as long as your account is active
- Productivity data is stored indefinitely (until you delete it)
- No automatic deletion of old sessions
Deleted Accounts
- Local data deleted immediately upon account deletion
- Server-side account and associated data deletion is initiated immediately
- Backups purged within 90 days
- Legal obligations may require us to retain certain data longer
Inactive Accounts
- Accounts inactive for 3 years may be flagged for deletion
- We will email you 30 days before deleting an inactive account
- You can prevent deletion by logging in
Children’s Privacy
Effici is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at [effici@yasindu.space], and we will delete that information.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using Effici, you consent to this transfer.
For EU/UK Users: Data may be transferred to countries that do not have equivalent data protection laws. We rely on Supabase’s compliance with GDPR and EU Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.

What We Use
- Local Storage: To remember your authentication state and preferences (stored locally on your device)
